Our Venue

Located on a Dutch nature reserve, ZeeVELD is a beautiful retreat venue thoughtfully adapted from old monastic architecture on a manor farm. With unique original features, the space is a calm reinvention of its former home, continuing the theme of spiritual contemplation. The serene space sets the scene for a reflective retreat in the scenic coastal countryside.

Situated in Castricum, the venue’s only a 40-minute drive from Schiphol airport. Escape the busy tempo of daily life, and enter a safe, peaceful environment to experience a healing psychedelic retreat.

Team & History

Zeeveld is one of the oldest manor farms in Castricum, with the site being first recorded in 1614. The earliest building currently standing dates from c.1829, the year that the site and surrounding dunes were bought by Dutch royalty, King William, which was kept in the royal family for over 70 years.

Moving away from agricultural use in 1968, this wonderful venue has been a retreat and holiday residence over the years, and was bought by the Jan XVII foundation as a home for their monastic tradition in 1984.
