Venwoude is a unique retreat center located in the heart of a beautiful and quiet nature sanctuary in the Dutch woodlands. It's expansive natural surroundings have private trails and green-covered spaces that invite solace, peacefulness and rest.
Arrival is welcome between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM on the first day of your retreat.
Your retreat will begin no later than 1:30 PM.
If arriving from Schiphol International Airport please keep in mind that you should land before 10:30 AM CEST (local time) at Amsterdam Airport on the first day of your retreat to make it through customs on time.
Due to COVID-19 impacts and restrictions, we recommend that you travel with a taxi or Uber.
Please note that a taxi (we recommend Staxi) should be pre-arranged.
Venwoude is unable to offer additional nights accomodations pre and post retreat. If you would like to arrive earlier or later and stay in the local area, we recommend you search for a local hotel online.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Royal Parc Soestduinen is near the retreat center and is recommended.
The Venwoude retreat center is situated on a sanctuary nature estate, beautiful for walks through the forest or gardens. You will be provided with towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. You will also have access to WiFi. You may use the sauna for an additional cost, covid-regulations permitting.
Please don’t leave the venue without informing a retreat Facilitator. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the buildings.
In accordance with COVID-19 policies, all participants will have their own room. If two people from the same household would prefer to share room, we will accommodate that request.
The bathroom and shower facilities at Venwoude are shared. The main bathroom and shower area is located on the ground floor and has seven individual, completely private shower units. There are three shared toilets on each floor. The bathroom and shower facilities are extensively cleaned twice per day following Venwoude’s Covid-19 protocol, with the exception of Ceremony days whereby the facilities will be cleaned only in the morning to ensure the ceremony experience is not disturbed in any way by the cleaning staff.
All meals are prepared by local vegetarian chefs who believe in the taste and power of organic, unprocessed food. Our passionate chefs create a delicious experience of creative and nutritious cuisine that our guests frequently rave about. We are an alcohol-free retreat and appreciate our guests honoring this policy. Herbal teas, coffee and flavored water are available throughout the day.
We pride ourselves in being able to cater to your pre-indicated dietary preferences, restrictions and allergies. Please use the Practical details and Preferences Form linked in the email you received including the guides to indicate any dietary needs as precisely as you can.
